Pivotal events are shown such as the deaths of some characters, the signing of death lists, torture both physical and mental, suicide bombings and the all-important rescue, but only so that the rest of the series can deal with the emotional fallout of all that. Only the first four episodes of this third season deal with the occupation itself as the series really wants to deal with the aftermath.
